HOUSE OF CONTRADICTION

Eyes

How convenient that the title of this chapter is also the first poem I've written for it.

Eyes, eyes so beautiful and alluring, so charming and seductive unlike any I've ever seen before in my life. I stared into it, and I felt like staying lost in it forever.

Eyes are one of the most attractive thing about a person. For in their eyes hold the power to bewitch and enchant and there is nothing more alluring in a person than their eyes.

I have never before in my life stared at anything so mystifyingly beautiful. Words cannot begin to explain what I have seen.

And in dedication to the person this page is made for, a line from a song from Moulin Rouge; "... and how wonderful life is, now you're in the world."

Mei, thanks for making your Kor Kor's life brighter.

Eyes

Eyes,

I look into them,

I see nothing ‘xept the sparkling stars that lit the velvet sky.

For in those eyes,

I look into them,

I see nothing ‘xept a fire that ravages my heart.

And in those eyes,

I look into them,

I see nothing ‘xept a beauty so profound I wept.

That in those eyes,

I look into them,

I see nothing ‘xept the love I want to give.

Eyes,

I look into them,

And I am forever lost.

Sister and Lover, Eyes and Sacrifice

Passion, how a passion ignite like flames on tinder and wood,

And dreams and hope, how they thrive on hope and dreams.

How she sought freedom,

An escape from chains that bind her will,

Tender and caring these chains yet restraining,

Forever holding till her time of age.

Truth be it that she was young,

Naïve and innocent yet guilty as sin,

The wonders of the world yet to see,

Always in desire to wanderlust.

She beheld beauty; so sweet and fragile,

Enchanting as the stars and moon; alluring as their reflection on crystal lakes,

A graceful turn of her head and eyes; carved from diamond rocks,

And forever enthralled my beating heart.

In her love seeked love,

Yet love was never returned for reasons only one shall truly know,

Time was all that was required; time and patience alone,

For in there was love at the test.

Great men make great mistakes; and at what cost?
For none can truly escape what one does not want to escape.

In the booming thunder of the night’s symphony,

In the hellish lands of the sinners and their consorts,

Came face to face I was with those eyes,

And those eyes alone shone like diamond nights.

For in the valleys and lands ahead,

No eyes sparkled like a radiant star; none like a flaming heart,

For there and then I held her close; possessed by passion and lust,

And there and then I let it go; my heart and my soul.

Seven lands I travelled to; the Wonders of the World,

Great heights climbed; tallest in the world,

Vast ocean sailed; deepest to the earth,

Take flight into the sky; with wings of angels.

Yet never was beheld such beauty in my hands,

The eyes; heavenly,

The smile; charming,

The eyes; forever a curse in my long and lonely nights.

Such beauty before me I stared; and was stared back,

And lost forever I was; mesmerized by eyes and eyes alone,

For in the night love was dedicated to.

I dedicated my heart and paid my price.

Twinkling lights shone here and everywhere,

Pixies and nymphs sang songs of tease and insult,

Sirens sharp as a needle thorn; na, na, na,

And though the night was nae, I pulled on through.

Untamed heart, call of the wild,

The urge so strong the heavens split apart.

A day spent like waters down the river,

A challenge met unlike any other,

Triumph and loss none the matter,

Yet winning it all the sweeter the better.

Sight, sense, taste, smell, feel,

Overwhelming senses became all real,

Body trembling hands shivering,

Wet lips lock all an offering.

Though time lost not all in vain,

The slightest touch, the lightest scent,

Vivid memories forever in remembrance,

Hand held flesh in black cloth; the world in heaven.

And once in a life, never repeated,

Or so thought, or so life seems,

Bliss eluded; once was there,

Heart rendered broken; ‘twas fate.

From south came the winds of change,

From the skies came lightning and rain,

Stalwart heart stand with faith; tales of bards,

Crumbled down as a house of cards.

Try as might to cast away,

Those lovely eyes, those lovely eyes,

Try as might to move a mountain,

Can never move, can never move.

Choices come without choices,

Deep thoughts come the answer.

A play lasting throughout time,

For as long as time permit,

A sacrifice sang in hymm,

A plan seeking to fit.

Choices aplenty, there are no choice,

What needs to be done has to be done,

The end justifies the mean,

But does the end justifies the sacrifice?
